PC build

Last year I sold my old PC to get cash for our Maldives expedition, so when it was called off short and we had to return home I needed to build a new system again.  The fruits of my patience (or lack of depending on who you speak to) have finally paid off and I have completed my build, bar a few aesthetic additions.

Here's the specifications :

  • Cooler Master CM STORM : SCOUT Chassis
  • 22" LG Flatron Monitor (1920x1080) 1080p HD
  • Razer Lycosa Mirror Keyboard
  • Razer Naga & Razer Abyssus mice
  • ASUS Maximus II Gene Motherboard
  • 6GB DDR2 800MHz RAM
  • 2x 80GB Sata II in RAID 0
  • 1x 1TB Sata II Storage Drive
  • Zotac Gefore GTX285 Graphics card
  • Intel Core 2 Quad - Q6600 2.40GHz overclocked to 3.5GHz
  • Corsair Hydro H-50 CPU water cooling
Needless to say this is the most powerful system I have built so far, for lack of funds for anything more powerful.  Though I can now comfortably play Crysis, a game that I spent rather a lot of money building a system for in 2006 only to be disapointed by the sheer grunt required to run that sodding game.

Super clean cable management.

Bit of an update here, I have since moved the radiator section to the front of the case in a push pull configuration as intake rather than exhaust, which is yielding far better cooling results.
